Cold glue for paintless dent repair is a technique where glue is used to pull a dent from a panel using a type of rubber instead of traditional hot glue. Cold glue is not applied with a glue gun, but is kneaded briefly and then applied directly to the slide hammer. Unlike traditional hot glue, cold glue is used at room temperature. It leaves no glue residue or damage on the paint.

How cold glue works:

  1. Cold glue is applied to a glue tab made for cold glue. The tab is attached to the slide hammer.
  2. The tab with glue is firmly placed on the dent and pressed briefly.
  3. After a short waiting period, the tab is pulled forcefully using a slide hammer.
  4. This pulls the dent (partially or fully) upwards. The glue remains on the tab and can be reused immediately.
  5. The glue releases without solvents and leaves no residue on the paint.

Advantages of cold glue:

  • No heating required.
  • Quick processing time.
  • Safer for sensitive paintwork.
  • Ideal for large, shallow dents.
